While home sales are slowing across much of the country,\u00a0West Palm Beach is telling a very different story.<\/p>\n

According to new data from Redfin<\/a>,\u00a0West Palm Beach home sales jumped 17.1% in July compared with the same time last year<\/strong>, making it one of the strongest-performing housing markets in the country.<\/p>\n

The increase is especially noteworthy considering what’s happening nationally.<\/p>\n

U.S. home sales declined 4.1% from June to July, falling to their lowest level in nearly two years. Pending sales also dropped as high home prices, mortgage rates and overall housing costs continue to keep many prospective buyers on the sidelines.<\/p>\n

What’s Driving West Palm Beach?<\/span><\/h3>\n

Redfin points to\u00a0affluent buyers who are less sensitive to higher housing costs<\/strong>\u00a0as an important factor driving sales in the West Palm Beach market.<\/p>\n
